Eagles Blog: Term Six, Week One!

Last term in Forest School we put our feet in different boxes with different types of materials inside them, such as sand, hay, pine cones, sticks and water. The sticks and stones were hard, the pine cones were spiky and the hay was tickly. Yesterday in Forest School we made something TOP SECRET for Father’s Day!

On Monday, we read a range of pictures and writing to help us follow instructions, like sitting under the table and bringing a friend a glue stick. We listened to some great songs in Jabadao, and had lots of fun. Some of us went to the vocational centre where we sawed some wood and put wood in a vice!

On Tuesday, we cooked hot dogs, potatoes, homemade coleslaw and salad, with a Victoria sponge with strawberries and cream for pudding! To make the coleslaw, we chopped onions, cabbage and grated carrots; then we mixed in mayonnaise and mustard. It tasted AMAZING! For the cake, we mixed all of the ingredients together and we whisked the cream! We ate it all up!

This morning, we started learning the words and signs to the song ‘This is me’ from ‘The Greatest Showman’. We are planning to perform the signs in assembly next Friday!

Also, some girls from South Wilts School came to visit us this morning. They are going to make a plan for our courtyard, as part of their Industry Days. They talked to us about what we like doing when we are outside. Watch this space!

See you next week!
